Double Bay Sanctuary staff were honoured to assist the local Whale Interpretive Center and local community members by helping flense two marine mammals this year. A Bryde’s whale and a Steller sea lion are being prepared for display, so their stories can live on through education and research. This work will support the new Whale Interpretive Center being built following a devastating fire. It’s a meaningful way to turn loss into knowledge and strengthen community-led education.
